MOONTRICKS is producer NOG and guitarist Mr Mercy.
Together they unify the worlds of organic and electronic music, bringing light to Glitch, Funk, Hip Hop and DnB. Deeply rooted in blues, country and folk, they weave together the sounds of the guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, and hand drums, among other instruments. This sweet acoustic sound is then spiked by a heavy shot of NOGs signature production, throwing glitched out beats, grimey synths and some super smooth sub-bass in to the mix. With a mic in hand, these two will spend days recording their many instruments and whatever else is lying around (Cheese graters and coffee grinders, anyone?).
Long before Moontricks was created, both members delved into song writing and jamming as best friends growing up in the woods. Freestyling, beatboxing, and performing later unfolded down the road. From these forgotten realms of carefree creativity, MOONTRICKS collaborates to create, unify, inspire, and have fun.
